Our family is blended with a total of five children: Darcy, Niki, James, Amanda, and Samantha. Four are married off, and one is still single. We also have five grandchildren: Ethan, Tristan, Neleigh, Jack and Sara - with a sixth one on the way…
My husband, Vern works as a wine maker, a position that includes: computer tech, purchasing agent, inventory control, photographer, and farmer. His enjoys photography, flintknapping, growing fruit trees, and wine/beer/cheese making. He loves to cook too!! A big plus to me - I hate cooking.
I am an entrepreneur, growing some walnuts, hazelnuts, and almonds, which will produce in five years. In the meantime, I stay busy playing with our two puppies, Echo and Finn; American Toy Fox Terriers. Other activities include gardening, landscaping, sewing, crocheting, and other fun activities. Of course, I still torture my family and friends, something I will never give up.
This web site, and me, reside in southwestern Michigan about 1 1/2 miles from Lake Michigan. We live on 10 acres of lush farmland, nestled in a quiet farm community. Love the country, especially when morning doves serenade with their gentle coos, entertained by the playful antics of bluebirds, cardinals and swallows, while tree frogs, like voyeurs, cling to the windows.
The nut trees share land with Promise, our mixed breed horse. Around the house you will find our chickens, and two cats Snickers and Leo.
